Is it Easy to Find Your Domain on Your Fan Page?
Written By: June Bachman ~ 1/16/2012 10:45:00 AM

Where is your website domain name on your Facebook Fan Page?  If you need to take a moment and go check – your fans probably can’t find it very easily either.  One way to drive more traffic to your website is to display your website domain name in a few places on your fan page.

Most businesses add their website to the info tab.  This is good, but not good enough.  Also on most info pages in the fan page (edit page + basic information) is the ABOUT section.  This section actually displays on the main fan page, below the profile picture and the menu on the left side.  Although the ABOUT section is only 250 characters long (including spaces) it is a perfect place to also add your domain name.  Only the first 75 characters are displayed automatically, so be sure to add your website domain name at the beginning of this section.  After all, your fans might not take the time to click on the ‘more’ to see the rest of the information.

Although the ABOUT section is the most important part of the info tab, the rest of the sections of the info tab are also important.  You can type in your website domain name into these fields.  Or, drive traffic to different pages of your website by typing the URLs to specific pages describing your products or services.
