Wendy and I are tremendous advocates for Social Media platforms that support our client’s business goals. Instagram is one of those platforms … which works great for a number of our clients. However, for Wendy and I (Windows Phone Users) we’ve yet to find a great app that will allow us to use this platform on a regular basis.
Never the less … for those Instagram users out there … You may wish to consider advertising via Instagram. Instagram’s user base has grown considerably; as of six months ago, it reached more than 400 million active monthly users worldwide, surpassing Twitter. Additionally, research has shown that ads run on Instagram boast nearly 3% higher ad recall … which means people are slightly more impacted by ads they view on Instagram.
Small businesses should look at Instagram as a way to promote their products and services because:
- Anyone can advertise.
- Audience targeting uses Facebook’s vast user data to target specific audiences.
- Unobtrusive ads, since Instagram ads look just like any other shared image.
- Audience engagement is extremely easy. After an ad gets published, businesses can respond to comments from users, allowing interaction with the audience.
