Facebook’s Review System for Brand Pages
By: June Bachman ~ 1/16/2014

You may have noticed in the past few months, a star rating system on your Facebook Business Page.  The star reviews are not available on all pages, but if your page lists your business address, you may now have the stars displayed.

Facebook has added this feature to add more meaning to your Likes.  Additionally, your fans can write a review, further expanding their sentiment towards your business.

Invite your fans to rate your business!  Just send them a link to this blog post, so they can easily follow the directions below.

  1. Login to your Facebook account
  2. Use the search bar to find the Facebook Business Page and click to select it
    (Or go to: https://www.facebook.com/bWyseInternetMarketing)
  3. Scroll down to Reviews on the right side of the Page's Timeline
  4. Click the gray stars to leave a rating and fill in an optional review
  5. Click to select your audience from the dropdown menu (Choose Public)
  6. Click Review

Keep in mind that your review will appear on the Page and will be Public unless you change your audience. For example, if you select Friends as your audience, only your friends who visit the Page will see your review. To change your rating, click the stars.

There are still a few kinks for Facebook to work out about the star review system.  For instance, as the page administrator you have now control over the reviews.  There may also be more reviews totaled, than you can locate or view.  Additionally, if a fan writes a review, but doesn’t publish it as public, you may never see the details of that review.

For the time being, we suggest the following approach.  Work hard to keep your customers happy, and encourage them to leave positive reviews on your Facebook page.
