Don't Be Too Promotional In Your Facebook Posts

Facebook has implemented another change to how the news feed algorithm works. They’ve determined that Facebook users don’t like posts that are overly promotional … so these types of posts are more likely to be filtered out of user’s newsfeeds.
Items to avoid in your postings include:
- pushing people to buy your products
- pushing people to sign up for your sweepstakes or enter your contest
- posts that exactly match the Facebook ads you are running
In general avoid posts that are too salesy, hyped up or pitchy.
You should seek to make your Facebook posts more conversational, entertaining and engaging. Like Wendy seems to always be saying, “Offer something of value – sell less.”
