Facebook Makes More Changes to Your NewsFeed

Facebook has yet again, refined how the newsfeed displays your content. Their goal is present a balanced mix of updates from friends, public figures, publishers, businesses, and organizations.
First, Facebook will relax the rule that states you will not see multiple posts from the same source in a row. Relaxing this rule allows those who don’t have a lot of available content to view, to see more posts from those in their network.
Second, Facebook will rank higher posts made by friends you care about … including photos, videos, links and status updates. Facebook doesn’t want you to miss these posts. This is good news for businesses, if your community engages with your posts, your business page posts will be included in this higher ranking.
Third, Facebook has received complaints from users about posts stating your friends liked or commented on a post. Facebook is going to rank these posts lower in your newsfeed, now.
Facebook’s advice to businesses is to continue to post value-added content for your community to consume and engage. Facebook’s recommendations include:
- Post quality content on a regular basis.
- Post fresh, new and timely content.
- Use Facebook Ads to extend your reach when appropriate.
